This Horse Blanket Vest is made of luxurious, high-quality domestic fabric.
The term "horse blanket" refers to a wool blanket that was used in 19th century America, when horses were still very much a part of human daily life, and was hung in stables at night so that horses could rest and relax when they slept.
It was unique in that it had a leather belt and buckle sewn around the neck to hold the blanket in place so that it would not slip down.
We have adapted it to our human specifications so that it can be used as a camping warming blanket.

This simple over-vest is made by attaching the neck to a large blanket and fastening the sides with leather straps.
